Packaging Innovation Showcase is organized by The Packaging Arena in conjunction with Mintel GNPD, The Pack, BrobyGrafiska and all parties in the network. Scanpack 2012 is held on 23-26 October at the Svenska Mässan (Swedish Exhibition Centre) in Gothenburg.

We believe that you in some way are involved in packaging development. Maybe you work with materials, rendering, design or any other part of what we call the packaging industry. The Packaging Arena with Pack Bridge and Packaging Mid Sweden welcomed representatives from the three German food cluster between 31 May and 1 June in Malmö. A first contact that speaks well for the future. The three German clusters who came to visit was the food region in Lubeck, GIQS in Bonn and FPI in Bielefeld. All are members of Kompetenznetze Deutschland bringing together the most innovative clusters in Germany. There were fruitful discussions about the food, packaging, consumer insight and interaction between sectors. In Germany there are no clusters in the packaging industry equivalent of Swedish clusters, and interest in future collaborations are stort.Kunskapen how packaging solutions and consumer insight can enhance goods image and strengthen brands is very low in Germany today. There is a lot of Swedish förpackningsklustren and their members can help med.Att the two industries go hand in hand, we have a good understanding ofhere in Sweden. Now we hope that this first contact will result in new collaborations and projects between Germany and Sweden livsmedselindustri packaging industry in the future. The interest is of course great from both håll.Sverigebesöket ended with a much appreciated visit to Tetra Pak in Lund.
